As your Birth Doula, we offer physical, emotional and educational support, empowering you to make informed decisions about your birth - whether it's at a hospital, birthing center, or in the comfort of your home.
As your Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula we provide compassionate care to help your family adjust to its new roles. From recovery support and home organization to breastfeeding guidance, overnight care, and connections to local resources, we're here to support you every step of the way.

Meet Chaka
Chaka is a dedicated Birth and Postpartum Doula, Newborn Care Specialist, Certified Lactation Counselor, and Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, supporting families in the Western Suburbs since 2014. She is passionate about empowering families through education, guidance, and hands-on care, from pregnancy and birth to the postpartum period.

Chaka's journey into birth work began while searching for a doula for her second child’s birth, sparking a profound passion for supporting families during this transformative time. Her commitment deepened as she recognized the critical importance of postpartum care in helping families thrive. Chaka specializes in working with families of all types and sizes, with particular expertise in supporting families with multiples.

Chaka received her birth doula certification and postpartum doula training through DONA International, trained as a Newborn Care Specialist through the Newborn Care Specialist Association and Summer's Sleep Secrets, certified as a lactation counselor through the Healthy Children Project, trained as a Placenta Encapsulation Specialist through PBi and earned her BS in Animal Science/Biotechnology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Residing in St. Charles with her husband, Moses, and their two teenage children, Chaka cherishes time spent with her family and their four furry companions—two cats and two dogs. In her downtime, she enjoys cooking, exploring the outdoors, and indulging in her favorite reality TV shows.

Chaka was a God sent doula to us! I was attempting a VBAC and the support she gave myself and my husband was incredible. She was so gentle and reassuring.
